SU Softball wraps tremendous season with regional loss to Kutztown
The Shippensburg University softball team’s 2024 season ended with a 5-1 loss to Kutztown at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Tournament. This was their seventh encounter of the year. In the game, Kutztown scored three runs in the first inning and added two more in the fourth. Shippensburg scored its only run in the first inning off an RBI-single by freshman Sarah Sabocsik. The top four hitters in Shippensburg’s lineup produced six of the team’s seven hits. Alicia Ball pitched for Shippensburg, allowing five runs on nine hits with three walks.
