Turning up the heat before the front
What we're tracking: High temperatures in the low 100s are possible tomorrow and Thursday for the western half of the Crossroads with Dewitt, Goliad, Karnes, and Bee counties being at the highest risk for reaching 100 degrees. Lavaca and Gonzales counties as well as western parts of Victoria county are also possibly at risk for 100, but much less likely. With high humidity today, heat indices may surpass 100 degrees for nearly all of the Crossroads. Good news is heat relief arrives Thursday night in the form of a cool front with a very slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm developing ahead of the front. Highs drop back to the mid 80s for the weekend with a windy day on Friday after the front. Scattered thunderstorms are looking more likely on Mother's Day proceeding into Monday as well.
