A Yates County man was killed in a roadside accident in Canandaigua, Ontario County, on Monday afternoon. According to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, Jarod G. Brown, 38, of Dundee, was on the side of the road on Route 21, near Hickox Road, when he became trapped underneath a motor home around 5 p.m.

Police: Man had rifle in his car on school grounds in Seneca Falls
SENECA FALLS, N.Y. — A 76-year-old man had a rifle in his car while he attended a school event, according to Seneca Falls Police. Gary Shoff of Penn Yan was charged at 12:15 p.m. Saturday with criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds. Police did not say which school was involved.
