New flagpole dedicated at Sangerville Veterans Memorial Park
SANGERVILLE — On May 18, during the park’s clean-up day, a new flagpole was dedicated once again to local veterans at Sangerville Veterans Memorial Park. Donated by Macy Gardner, a 20-year Army veteran, the pole came with a new flag and a solar light installed at the top for night time illumination. Many local volunteers were on hand to celebrate the new pole as well as pitching in with the Sangerville Rec Committee for spring cleanup.

$11.3M SAD 41 budget moved to June 11 referendum
MILO — A proposed 2024-25 SAD 41 budget totaling $11,283,254 was approved during the annual district budget meeting in the Penquis Valley School cafeteria on Monday, May 20. This figure will now go to a referendum vote in the district communities of Brownville, LaGrange and Milo on Tuesday, June 11 for a “yes” or a “no” vote for final approval.
