The eastbound lanes closed two years ago from M-10 to Interstate 75 to bolster the decades-old infrastructure, said state transportation officials. The second phase of the project consists of MDOT rehabilitating I-696 between Lahser and Dequindre roads. Travis said the full rehabilitation project is expected to be complete in the fall of 2027.
