The National Honor Society (NHS) at Groesbeck High School welcomed a new cohort of outstanding students during its Spring induction ceremony held on Sunday, April 21. The event, hosted at the Groesbeck High School Auditorium, marked a significant moment for both the inductees and the school community.
The following students were honored with induction into the prestigious society: Miranda Alvarado, Micah Anderson, Sarah Brim, Tripp Burleson, Jacoby Burns, Cannon Campbell, Kamryn Curry, Gracie deCordova, Chrysta Harris, Chyanne Haynes, Kaidance Hutchison, Myli Ladd, Andy Lee, Mabrey Lewis, Madison McCreery, Mallory Meyer, Zoe Platt, Rian Samuels, Hannah Slater, Kealey Trojacek, and Kaydence Worsham.
These exceptional individuals were selected based on their demonstration of the NHS core values of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Each inductee has shown exemplary dedication to academic excellence and a commitment to making positive contributions to their school and community.
NHS Advisor, Lisa Rogers, expressed her joy at working with students who will be graduating and the new inductees, stating, "The opportunity to work with the most elite students here at Groesbeck High School is a remarkable endeavor. All members in National Honor Society have upheld the four tenets or pillars that National Honor Society stands for: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Since Groesbeck’s NHS began in 1962, no other time has its chapter and officers been so epic as this.  NHS students have risen to the occasion and met the challenge. I am here for it. I am truly proud of them. I work with future teachers, doctors, lawyers, pilots, and nurses. I wouldn’t change it for anything in this world. Thank you for allowing me to work with your children."
The Spring induction not only celebrates the accomplishments of the newest NHS members but also serves as an inspiration for other students to strive for excellence in academics and service. The inductees now join a long legacy of NHS members who have made a significant impact on their school and community.
As they embark on this new chapter of their academic journey, the Groesbeck High School community eagerly anticipates the continued contributions of these remarkable students, both inside and outside the classroom. Congratulations to all the newly inducted members of the National Honor Society!
