GHS senior Hayden Getz is set to give a special presentation at noon on Thursday, April 11, at the monthly Groesbeck Chamber Lunch & Learn. The event will be held at the Groesbeck Convention Center, 106 E. Navasota, shedding light on the important mission of the Kailee Mills Foundation, an organization dedicated to reducing fatalities and injuries resulting from non-seat belt use.
According to the foundation, nearly 27.5 million Americans do not wear seat belts, despite the fact that buckling up can keep you safe and secure inside your vehicle. On the other hand, not doing so can result in being totally ejected from the vehicle in a crash, which is almost always deadly. This is why the foundation aims to raise awareness, promote education, and encourage community involvement in the issue.
Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among Americans ages 1-54, making it a crucial matter for all drivers and passengers to prioritize their safety on the road.
Through the presentation, Hayden will be sharing more about the foundation's efforts and how they are working to prevent unnecessary tragedies on the road. Interested individuals can learn more about the Kailee Mills Foundation and their mission at https://www.kaileemillsfoundation.org/ .
Let's all join hands to promote seat belt safety and ensure a safer environment for everyone on the road.  Lunch will be provided provided by the Groesbeck Chamber.
