Seafood Lovers Head To Hampton For The Steamed Shrimp At This Waterfront Seafood Market
Some people drive three hours for a concert. Others drive that far for a bag of steamed seafood, and in Hampton, Virginia, that second group is surprisingly large. One local market has built a following so loyal that people show up from North Carolina, New England, and far corners of the state just to shop its counters. The lines can stretch out the door on a busy afternoon, and nobody seems to mind much.

Traditional Bluegrass Duos on Pickin
I had so much enjoyment putting together the duos show for The Best of Pickin on Friday night, that I decided to expand the idea onto the Sunday evening traditional Bluegrass Pickin program. Tune in to hear many of the founding stars of the genre like Flatt and Scruggs, Reno and Smiley, The Louvin Brothers, Jim and Jesse, and plenty of others including second generation stars like Tony Rice and Peter Rowan, Bill Emerson and Cliff Waldron, and The Osborne Brothers. Rice and Rowan appeared together at a concert in Chesapeake City Park when touring behind their 2007 release "Quartet." It was the second collaboration between the artists and featured Bryn Davies on bass and Sharol Gilchrist on mandolin. They covered several Rowan tunes on the album including " Dust Bowl Children" and also traditional tunes like "Shady Grove." We'll also have tracks from Dave Davis and The Warrior River Boys, Del McCoury, Bill Monroe, and plenty of others. Two hours of traditional Bluegrass on Pickin. Sunday night at 7 on WHRV.
