Burlington schools celebrate Wyoming Reads
During the past spring legislative session, Governor Mark Gordon signed legislation designating the third Tuesday in May to be “Wyoming Reads Day.” According to the Wyoming Reads website, John Jorgensen established the Sue Jorgensen Library Foundation in 1996 to honor his late wife and her love of reading and literacy. The first program was developed in Casper and was called “Casper Cares, Casper Reads,” and provided free hardcover books to local 1st graders.
