Gardner Downtown Crossing project receives financial boost: here's why it's significant
The developer behind a plan to bring residential apartments and a new restaurant to downtown Gardner has received a financial boost for the project. Jon Bombaci, owner of Gardner Downtown Crossing and president of Candor Realty, recently announced that the North Central Massachusetts Development Corporation, the economic arm of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce, had provided $250,000 to the project, which will see the property at 25 Main St. transformed into six one-bedroom and eight two-bedroom apartments on the second and third floors, and a 5,000 square foot restaurant on the first floor.
