Food inspectors find live cockroaches crawling around Springfield restaurant
Live cockroaches troubled a Springfield restaurant this week, according to Springfield-Greene County Health Department food inspection reports. A cockroach crawled across a counter during an inspection at Misaki 2, 2710 S. Campbell Ave., according to an April 29 report. The cutting board it touched and a knife were removed to be cleaned and any open food items on the counter were voluntarily discarded. Additionally, cockroaches were found around outlets, cooler motors and glue traps at Misaki 2, 2710 S. Campbell Ave., the report said. The report instructed the restaurant to "constantly be monitoring for cockroaches and find ways to minimize their presence." The restaurant needs a re-inspection.

Nesting boxes installed to protect osprey
STOCKTON, Mo. (KY3) - A Stockton, Missouri couple is being watched closely after losing their nest. The osprey pair came into contact with one of Liberty Utilities’ electric lines in 2014. The birds were not injured, but this did cause a fire, damaging the transmission tower and line. The pair have since rebuilt their nest on the utility pole.
