Man accused of making false allegations against Loris police officer
LORIS, S.C. (WMBF) - State authorities say a man allegedly spread misinformation about a Loris police officer. The Loris Police Department said Friday that an investigation by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division determined that “allegations made were false and cleared the officer of any wrongdoing.” Loris police said multiple stories circulated on social media “attempting to add validity to the original false allegations.”
N.C. man dies weeks after shooting in Myrtle Beach-area nightclub parking lot
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - A North Carolina man has died weeks after he was shot in the parking lot of 3001 Nightclub, according to the county coroner. 22-year-old Jadis Nelson, of Rockingham, was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in the early morning of April 7 after being shot. The Horry County Coroner’s Office confirmed Nelson died at the hospital on Wednesday.
