Illegal Boating & Aggravated Kidnapping Arrests Top Tuesday Bookings
SAN ANGELO – 20 individuals were booked into the Tom Green County Detention Center in the last 24 hours on charges including Aggravated Kidnapping, Illegal Boating, and DWI. 29-yer-old Ruben Espinola was arrested by San Angelo Police Tuesday for several boating infractions including Boater Education Course Required, License Plate Unclean/Obscured x2, Parking on the Left x2, Wrong Placement or No Registration Sticker x2, Hazardous Wake or Wash (Boat), Failure to Appear in Court. He was booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 12:29 a.m. Wednesday and released at 4:58 a.m. the same day after posting $3,859.20 bond and fines.
Fourth person sentenced in 2019 San Angelo murder trial
SAN ANGELO, Texas — A fourth person was sentenced Thursday for the 2019 murder of Kristian Rose in a north San Angelo neighborhood. On March 23, Joshua Jaquez pled guilty to murder before Judge Carmen Dusek with no recommendation from the State regarding his punishment. In exchange for his cooperation in the case and his testimony in the trial of Alexis Jackson, the State agreed to cap his maximum sentence at a possible 25 years. After hearing evidence, Judge Dusek sentenced Jaquez to 25 years in the penitentiary.
