Two Arrested After High-speed Pursuit
A multi-agency vehicle pursuit that started in Tennessee ended in Logan County Tuesday morning with two arrested. The Logan County Sheriff’s Office reported 43 year-old Rhonda Dunham and her husband, 54 year-old Rodney Dunham, both of Gordonsville, Tennessee, were pursued initially by the Nashville Metro Police Department and the Todd County Sheriff’s Office on Clarksville Road in a vehicle that police say was stolen.

Two Arrested for Giving 11-Year-Old Alcohol
Two Red Boiling Springs men were arrested and charged with child abuse and contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor on June 4, 2023, after giving a child alcohol. Visitor to Murfreesboro Welcomed to Town with her Wallet Being Stolen - $30,000 in Attempted Credit Card Charges
MURFREESBORO, TENN – A 70-year-old Cookeville woman became the victim of a crime while in Murfreesboro. The female, who was shopping in the HomeGoods store near the Medical Center Parkway / Thompson Lane intersection, when an unidentified subject stole her wallet that was sitting inside her purse. Inside the wallet were her drivers license, debit and credit cards, $160 in cash and a checkbook. The wallet also contained medical and health insurance information.
Construction remains strong in Putnam
Seven million dollars worth of construction projects added. Putnam County – May 2023 construction numbers were strong and growing in Putnam County. Compared to May 2022, this years numbers increased slightly to 40 permits issued (compared to 39 in 2022) and $7 million worth of construction projects added. 20 of those were single-family residential homes. For the Fiscal Year, the county has issued 340 permits worth $70.5 million in construction.

COOKEVILLE, TN – Fifty-three Smith County natives were named to Tennessee Tech University’s Dean’s List for the spring 2023 semester. The total includes 16 students from Carthage, 12 students from Brush Creek, six students from Gordonsville, three students from Hickman, three students from Pleasant Shade, two students from Buffalo Valley, two students from Elmwood, two students from Lancaster, two students from Lebanon, two students from Riddleton, two students from Watertown, and one student from Alexandria.
