Gun Found in Texas Special Needs Students Backpack
A Waxahachie High School special needs student's backpack was found with a 9mm handgun. According to a letter that was sent to school parents, a staff member "found the weapon when retrieving the student’s daily supplies from their backpack and immediately reported it to the School Resource Officer and campus administration." The WPD officer took possession within moments of the discovery, the letter said. No other comments have been released at this time.
