Gusty wind to cool temperatures this week. Here is my forecast into next weekend.
After topping 80° on Saturday temperatures cooled with a breeze to 71° on Sunday in Boise. A storm system passing to our south with keep a slight chance of showers in the forecast into Monday early afternoon but the big story for Monday will be the increase in afternoon wind with gusts to 35 mph around Boise and 45 mph in Mountain Home. Temperatures should hold in the mid-60s.

Another round of heavy showers continue to batter the area. Very cool temperatures will keep strong thunderstorm development away from Canyon County and most of Ada County. Stronger storms are likely in Elmore County. This is where we could see wind gusts with any storms over 40 mph and hail.

We've made it to the weekend after a rollercoaster ride of weather the past week! It is feeling more like a February afternoon rather than April as temperatures hover in the upper 30s and low 40s across the Snake River Plain. For points east of Mountain Home, sustained winds are around 20-30mph causing wind chills in the 20s. There are a few, lingering showers around but it will trend drier as we head into Sunday.
