Local rescue squad finds missing woman within 20 minutes with K9
BENTON, Ky. — A Benton-based volunteer rescue organization reported Wednesday that its K9 located a missing woman within 20 minutes. A Facebook post by Marshall County Rescue Squad said that Stephany Floyd, 36, had reportedly left her home around 6 a.m. Wednesday. The rescue team deployed K9 Nyx and its handler, Amy Mcleod Barrett, and quickly found Floyd alive. She had been lying in an area since the early morning hours and required medical attention.
