Mercer Island’s Teenage Delinquent School
From 1905-54, the Seattle School District ran a “teenage delinquent school for boys,” located on the property where Luther Burbank is now. Known as Mercer Island’s Boys Parental School, the school hosted up to around 140 boys, the majority of which were first and second time offenders coming from unstable households in the city.

The ECNL Girls enter postseason play on June 22 as the top teams from across the league start their National Playoffs in Seattle. The event will include playoff competition for all age groups, U13-U18/U19.
UW announces Winter 2024 Dean’s List honorees
SEATTLE — Students from the Columbia Basin have been named to the Dean's List at the University of Washington for the Winter 2024 Quarter. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must have completed at least 12 graded credits and have a grade point average of at least 3.50 out of 4. Students are notified that they have achieved this distinction when they receive their grades for the quarter.
