New Stone lake pickleball courts dedicated

Kids Fishing Derby to be held on Lake Hayward
Multiple organizations and businesses will sponsor a Kids Fishing Derby from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday June 1 at Lake Hayward Beach Park. Hurricane golfers advance to sectional
The Hayward Hurricanes boys golf team placed third in the WIAA Division 2 regional playoffs at Hidden Greens North in Solon Springs Tuesday May 21. Thereby, the Canes qualified for the sectional meet at Turtleback in Rice Lake Tuesday May 28. The top four teams at the Solon Springs regional have qualified for the sectional. They are: Lakeland Union, 307; Rice Lake, 331; Hayward, 345; and Northland Pines, 346. Scoring for the Hurricanes were: Kegan Walsh, 84; Guy Swenson, 87; Gavin Hand, 87; Liam Aldoff, 87; and Carter Roach, 93. The regional medalist was Lakeland’s Matt Haggart, who shot a 72. Qualifying as individuals for the sectional are: Ean Perry, Antigo, 76; Lawson Burkhart, Northwestern,78; and Cooper DeBriyn, Ashland, 87.

The Rice Lake boys golf team will have the home course advantage as the Warriors advanced to sectionals after placing second at Tuesday's Division 2 regional at Hidden Greens North Golf Course in Solon Springs.
