A Talladega man died in a one-vehicle crash on Saturday, state troopers said. Cameron S. Gaston, 32, died after the 2009 Ford Focus he was driving left the road and struck a tree at about 8 p.m., Alabama Law Enforcement Agency senior trooper Brandon Bailey said in a press release.

Jackson’s Gap woman dies in crash
A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, has claimed the life of Jackson’s Gap woman. According to a press release from Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Jeanette Griffin, 67, was fatally injured when the 2007 Toyota Camry she was driving collided head-on with the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by James L. Duckett, 20, of Wetumpka. Griffin was pronounced deceased at the scene, the release said. Duckett was transported to the Russell Medical Center in Alexander City for treatment.
