Ducklings rescued from storm drain in Goodlettsville

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Firefighters in Goodlettsville spent part of their Saturday rescuing baby ducks that were found stuck inside a storm drain.

According to the Goodlettsville Fire Department, two families of ducklings were found in the storm drain on Saturday, April 20.

Firefighters said the mom of one group stayed inside the drain. However, the mom of the other group was not found.

The fire department took to social media to share pictures of the rescue, which showed a crew member in the storm drain attempting to bring them out.

Officials said the mom and baby ducks were freed and released back to the public.

Meanwhile, the orphaned group of ducks got on the firetruck, received a bath and have found their forever home with one of the firefighters!
