Fire deaths in DeSoto and Claiborne parishes
LOUISIANA- Today, State Fire Marshal deputies are investigating two home fires in the northwest region of the state where lives were lost. The first was in Keachi around 4 a.m. when DeSoto Fire District #2 responded to the 200 block of Littleton Road for a report of a mobile home fire. A deceased female victim was discovered inside.

The DeSoto Parish Police Jury will hold their monthly meeting Monday, March 4 at 5pm in the Police Jury Meeting Room, 101 Franklin Street, Mansfield. The Stonewall Planning and Zoning Commission will hold their regular meeting on Tuesday, March 5 at 6pm at the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Government Plaza, 1746 US Hwy 171 in Stonewall. North DeSoto High is national NIET winner, gets $50,000 grand prize
DALLAS, Texas -- North DeSoto High School in Stonewall is the recipient of the 2024 National Institute for Excellence in Teaching Founder's Award and its $50,000 grand prize. NIET founder and Chairman Lowell Milken, joined by CEO Joshua Barnett, surprised the school Thursday during the 2024 NIET National Conference in Dallas, Texas.
Group of Women Wanted for Bossier Bath and Body Works Theft
