The Black Hills Lignite, LLC of Glenrock, Wyoming has filed a regular mining permit amendment application with the Land Quality Division of the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality for the mining of leonardite in Converse County, Wyoming. The proposed mine area is approximately 22 miles north of Glenrock, Wyoming off Converse County 23. The application may be viewed at the Cheyenne Office of the Land Quality Division. The application will be readvertised for public comment prior to approval by the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality.
