Westminster shuts down Holt to snare eighth final four berth
CHESTERFIELD — Alan Walker and the Westminster Academy tennis team had a lot to play for Tuesday in the Class 2 team quarterfinals against Holt. Walker and the rest of the Wildcats failed to qualify anyone for the individual tournament, which begins Thursday at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
Jim Schoemehl Run In Webster
The 23rd annual Jim Schoemehl Run was held Saturday, May 4, with runners starting outside of Roberts Gym at Webster Groves High School. The charity run benefits the fight against ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. The proceeds will go to this year’s local beneficiary, Denny Mason and his family, and the ALS Association of St. Louis. The event featured 5K and 10K races for adults and children. Zach Legenzoff of Webster Groves was the winner of the 5K race, and J.C. Schute of St. Louis took first place honors in the 10K race.
