YMCA of the Northwoods completes funding for new Park Falls facility
RHINELANDER, Wis. (WJFW) - One local YMCA is taking an initiative to use recent funds to expand its support to other communities that need it. Linda May, the CEO of the YMCA of the Northwoods, said they have been serving the Rhinelander area for over 20 years. Now, with funds from an award of $5.65 million grant from American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to support the new Park Falls YMCA.
Langlade County Fair scholarship awards
ANTIGO — At recent scholarship ceremonies in Antigo and Elcho, the Langlade County Fair presented several scholarships to local students. The Fair understands the importance of volunteering in the community as it takes a whole host of volunteers in order to have a fair each year. Getting youth involved at an early age is key to those youth continuing to volunteer into adulthood.
