City orders temporary restraining order against Martin Misjuns
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The City of Lynchburg has filed a temporary restraining order against Councilman Martin J. Misjuns. Court documents obtained by WFXR News show that Misjuns was allegedly fired for “bully and retaliatory behavior.” Records show that on June 6, Misjuns posted on his Facebook page what he titled “#Transcriptleaks.”

Join Patrick Henry’s Red Hill for this year’s Independence Day Celebration on Thursday, July 4, 4:00– 9:30 p.m. at Red Hill in Brookneal. The Patrick Henry Memorial Foundation will host its annual Independence Day Celebration at the home of American Patriot Patrick Henry. Festivities will begin at 4:00 pm with tours of the historic buildings, food vendors, face painting, live music, kid games, museum tours, gift shop, and Quarter Place tours. Patrick Henry Jolly performs “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” and reads the Declaration of Independence at 8 p.m. with fireworks beginning at 9:15 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets. General admission tickets are $10/car online or at the gate. VIP tickets are available and must be purchased in advance for $10/person.
