Man shot in Geneva

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Officers with the Geneva Police Department received reports of shots that had been fired near North Genesee Street early Saturday evening. Officers sent out a hyper reach for nearby residents to shelter in place.

“We learned that the suspects had fled, and there was one male victim with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries,” officers said. “He was taken to a local hospital.”

According to the GPD, this appeared be an isolated incident and there was no immediate threat to the public.

“Once our initial investigation was concluded, we immediately lifted the shelter in place,” officers said.

The GPD does not have a description of the suspect at this time. We have no suspect description at this time.
