Severe Storms Likely Monday Evening
Monday will be mostly cloudy and windy with highs in the mid 70s. Before a line of strong to severe storms arrives late in the day, we'll start dodging some spotty showers and storms as early as the early afternoon. The line of storms will arrive in our western cities like Norfolk, Columbus, and York by the evening commute. It will likely move through the Omaha metro between 7 and 9 p.m., followed by western Nebraska and northwest Missouri through 11 tonight.
Fairfield man in jail after possessing stolen vehicle, resisting arrest
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — A Fairfield man is in jail after he was in possession of a stolen vehicle and refused to let officers arrest him. Erik Loya, 31, was arrested for theft by receiving stolen property (more than $1,500), resisting arrest, obstructing police, third-degree assault (menacing) and open alcohol container.

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Mainly clear skies and light winds allowed temperatures to drop into the low 40s and even upper 30s across the area to start the day. Definitely on the chillier side for early May! You’ll want the jacket heading out the door this morning, but you won’t need it all day long. Some highs clouds drifting in from the south this morning giving us some filtered sunshine should thin out by this afternoon. With mainly sunny skies, temperatures should warm fairly quickly, climbing into the lower 60s by Noon. A southeast breeze at 5-15mph will develop by afternoon, helping to push our high temperatures toward 70 degrees. It should really be a fantastic afternoon to get outside and enjoy the quiet weather.
