New bathroom rule at Wakefield has students spending more time in the classroom
At Wakefield High School, a new rule was introduced for the 2026-2027 school year: the bathroom rule. The bathroom rule states that students can use the bathroom only six times per semester. Administrators can keep track of how many times a student has used the restroom by how many holes have been punched out on the student’s pass. If the student who already has six holes punched is in an emergency, then the teacher will call admin to have a staff member walk them to the restroom.
