ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. (WNCN) – The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a group of people who deputies said stole from a retail store last month. On April 14, the sheriff’s office responded to a larceny that occurred at the Speedway gas station located on West 10th Street just outside of Roanoke Rapids. The suspects took wine coolers from the store by hiding the drinks and leaving without paying.

Students treated after fight at Henrico school
HENRICO, Va. (WWBT) -Multiple Varina High School students were treated after police pepper sprayed a group fighting Wednesday afternoon. “On May 8, at approximately 1:20 p.m., Henrico School Resource Officers at Varina High School observed a crowd of students rush from the cafeteria, causing a disturbance to the school setting,” Henrico Police said in a release.

Emporia man arrested after three-car crash in Richmond
Richmond police have arrested a driver involved in a three-car crash that killed a Pennsylvania woman late Sunday night. At around 11:37 p.m. on May 5, officers were called to the 3600 block of Chamberlayne Avenue in Richmond for a report of a three-vehicle collision. Upon arrival, officers found a damaged car in the right lane with three occupants.
Enfield home hit by bullets early Wednesday morning, police say
ENFIELD, N.C. (WNCN) — Police are investigating a shooting that caused damage to a residence in an Enfield neighborhood early Wednesday morning. Around 3:30 a.m. officers were called to the area of Sherrod Heights regarding shots that were fired. Officers said they located the residence and found that bullets had penetrated the occupied home.
