Street flooding could force 63-year-old Birmingham restaurant to close
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The future of a beloved restaurant in Birmingham is uncertain as flooding issues nearby are making it difficult for customers to get there. Sarris Restaurant has been in business for over 60 years. The Birmingham staple is on 31st Street in North Avondale. George Sissa, who owns the restaurant, is concerned about a street closure near his business.
