The parents of a 17-year-old high school baseball star who died in a “freak” accident inside a batting cage have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against representatives of the school. First-year student Derek Correa recently reconnected with his classmates at the CNC Manufacturing and Machining lab and met with professor Jeff Hellwig and Alfred State administration during a stop to thank them for supporting his recovery.
