Chipotle to open first Gaffney location

GAFFNEY, S.C. (WSPA) – Chipotle will open its first location in Gaffney on Friday.

The restaurant chain, known for its bowls, tacos and burritos made in front of customers, announced it will open a new location at 1602 West Floyd Baker Blvd at 10:45 a.m. Friday.

The new restaurant will be the first Chipotle in Gaffney, and will feature the brand’s signature drive-thru “Chipotlane” for pickup orders.

The new restaurant will, for a limited time, offer the chain’s Chicken al Pastor, made with fresh grilled chicken, a marinade of seared morita peppers and ground achiote, balanced with a splash of pineapple and finished with fresh lime, and hand-chopped cilantro.

The new location is hiring, and the company said there are approximately 30 jobs per location, and benefits include bonus opportunities, mental health care for employees and their families and a debt-free college program.
