In the race for Leesburg District 1, Allyson E. Berry led with 794 votes (52.76%) against Erika Jasper, who received 711 votes (47.24%). For Leesburg District 2, Alan Reisman secured the lead with 1,055 votes (62.35%), defeating Darel Craine, who garnered 637 votes (37.65%). For the new Leesburg District 3 seat, James E. DeCastro led with 2,348 votes (75.45%) over Michele Fiore, who received 764 votes (24.55%). Lake County Commission unofficial vote count For the County Commission District 2 race, Sean M. Parks (REP) led with 123,000 votes (88.46%) over 16,046 write-in votes (11.54%). In the race for County Commission District 4, Leslie Campione (REP) led with 101,063 votes (58.35%) against Egor Emery (DEM), who received 71,627 votes (41.35%), and 511 write-in votes (0.30%) Lake County School Board District 1 unofficial vote count With all 92 precincts reporting, Pat Kelley won the race for School Board District 1.

Leesburg’s first Black female mayor retains her commission seat

Leesburg voters have reelected Allyson E. Berry to her District 1 commission seat. Berry received 794 votes to edge out her challenger, Dr. Erika Jasper, who collected 711 votes. Berry made history on Jan. 5 when her fellow commissioners chose her to become Leesburg’s mayor, making her the first Black woman to hold the position. Berry grew up in Leesburg, and Berry Park was named in honor of her parents.
