Search continues for man wanted on two high-risk warrants
The search for a man wanted on two high-risk warrants continued throughout the day after the warrants were executed Tuesday morning at a house on Winchester Street in State Line. The warrants were issued for William Cordell Boose (above left), 48, who had two arrest warrants for the sale of methamphetamine issued by the courts against him. Members of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Wayne County Sheriff's Department, State Line Police Department and Waynesboro Police Department worked together to execute the warrants. Sheriff Jerry "Juice" Mosley said "agencies working together is what it takes to rid our community of problems. The Wayne County Sheriff's Department will continue to work on.

Monroe County game warden and deputy use personal boat to rescue swimmers
BIGBEE, Miss. (WTVA) — Two Monroe County law enforcement officers are being praised for their quick action in rescuing seven individuals from a rain-swollen creek. The rescue happened on Saturday in Town Creek in Bigbee where the group became stranded on a sandbar in the middle of the creek. The water rose too quickly for them to swim back to the shore.
