New apparel business bringing alternative vibe to downtown Howell
A new business is bringing creativity and an alternative approach to apparel in downtown Howell . 5IVEHOLE opened during the Howell Melon Festival at 116 N. Michigan Ave., relocating from Fenton. The shop specializes in creating one-of-a-kind custom apparel and jerseys for sports teams, beer leagues and even musicians. Charlie Lamb started the business focused on hockey, but said it's since evolved it into a "multidisciplinary creative studio and artist collaborative," working with a variety of teams, businesses, independent artists and international music acts. The shop's website lists that custom gear can be made for youth and adults in a variety of sports, including hockey, roller hockey, football, baseball, softball, basketball, fishing, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, esports, cycling and extreme sports. Lamb is originally from Howell and decided to move back and bring his business to town. However, creating jerseys has always been something Lamb has dabbled in. "It was a passion project that has become a flourishing retail business now," he said. In addition to custom products, 5IVEHOLE
