Fresno Nightcrawler dog toys? BarkBox is in on the local mystery

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – BarkBox and the Fresno Nightcrawler? The collaboration that no one saw coming.

According to BarkBox’s website , it is a subscription-based service that is delivered monthly to dogs and their people. Each box tells a different story with themed days, treats, and photo-worthy props.

BarkBox says that the classic assortment is two days, two treat bags, and a surprise experience but you can tailor it to fit your dog’s needs.

With that being said, the Fresno Nightcrawler has made its way into BarkBox’s April 2024 BarkBox, with the theme being “Barking at Bigfoot.” It includes Franny and Fritz the Fresno Nightcrawlers and for the Super Chewer box, it includes Frank the Fresno Nightcrawler.

According to BarkBox, there have only been two reported sightings of the Fresno Nightcrawler, a cryptid described to look like a pair of walking pants.

But what is the actual lore behind the Fresno Nightcrawler?

Back in the 2000s, a grainy CCTV camera captured footage of what appeared to be a ghostly-looking pair of pants striding across a man’s front yard in Fresno.

A Fresno man named Jose was awakened by his dogs barking and he caught a glimpse of the mysterious figure.

Was that all there was on these mysterious walking pants? No, years later in 2011 it was reported that figures that looked like the Nightcrawler were caught on camera in Yosemite National Park.

Since then, the Fresno Nightcrawler has become a well-known figure in the Central Valley and the internet. The History Channel even did a story about it.

Several videos claimed to capture the Fresno Nightcrawler, but it was reported that most of them have been dubbed as nothing more than hoaxes.

Whether or not the Fresno Nightcrawler is a legitimate thing that people have claimed to see, BarkBox says that your dogs can have proof and extraordinary toys and treats do exist.
