Prairieville High School, which opens this year, has made several coaching hires

A rivalry bout between East Ascension and St. Amant was decided in the 8th inning
East Ascension tripled its victory total over a year ago, a benchmark made sweeter by the taste of victory over its fiercest rival. Left fielder Luke Decoteau ripped a two-out, run-scoring single to right field in the top of the eighth and relief pitcher Luke Guillot withstood a bases-loaded jam in bottom half of the inning for a 2-1 District 5-5A road victory over St. Amant.
