A Detroit man was killed in a hit-and-run incident on Friday, Nov. 6, on Interstate 75 in Monroe County. At about 6:19 a.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police Monroe Post responded to a report of a pedestrian standing in southbound I-75 near East Dunbar Road, according to a social media post by state police. Troopers were later notified that the pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle and was lying in the roadway. The pedestrian, identified as a 60-year-old man from Detroit, had fatal injuries, state police said. The roadway was shut down for several hours for an investigation.
