Castle Rock man pleads guilty to stabbing, killing his mother
A Castle Rock man who stabbed and killed his mother inside of her home pleaded guilty to second-degree murder charges Monday, potentially leading to a 48-year prison sentence. Matthew Buchanan, 34, stabbed his mother, 59-year-old Elizabeth Bjorlow, more than nine times on April 26, 2022 and left his paraplegic step-uncle, 59-year-old Christopher Bjorlow, inside of a burning home.
