Whitehouse elementary school students get hands-on experience raising animals
WHITEHOUSE, Texas (KLTV) - An elementary school in Whitehouse is encouraging their students’ curiosity by allowing them to help raise animals on campus. What started as a dream to rescue one African Sulcata tortoise has turned into a much bigger hands-on learning experience for the students at Cain Elementary.

East Texas roads washed out, flooded due to heavy rain
EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) - Authorities have reported several roads that are in dangerous condition due to rising water. The Anderson County Office of Emergency Management shared information on flooded roads at about 6:30 p.m. and pointed out that there are probably more than have been reported. Authorities reminded drivers not to go through water if it’s covering a roadway.

Westwood tennis caps impressive season with three medals at UIL state tennis tournament
Westwood capped off a brilliant school year by winning a gold and two silvers in the UIL state tennis tournament Friday in San Antonio. In an all-Westwood final, the boys doubles team of Danny Zhang and Leon Chen captured gold with a 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 victory over Warriors teammates Sibi Raja and Aditya Paravasthuramesh. Meanwhile, the girls doubles team of Anwi Duduka and Dana Kardonik earned a 6A silver medal after falling to Allen's Chelsie Son and Saheba Single in the finals 6-4, 1-6, 7-5.
