Celebrating a Picayune native starring in upcoming featured film
People all across Picayune and Pearl River County are celebrating a Picayune native’s starring role in a moving coming to theatres nationwide Friday. Cailey Flemming is starring in ‘IF.’ Acadiana Cinemas in Picayune is showing the film. The theatre is hosting a food drive in conjunction with the release to support local food banks.

AMITE - With the semester ending, Amite High School brought in former NFL player and New Orleans Saints' cornerback Delvin Breaux to speak about his hardships. Breaux spoke to students about the importance of mental health. Breaux himself suffered with mental illness growing up. At nine years old, he said he grabbed his father’s gun and tried to commit suicide.
Deputies searching for man who reportedly committed check fraud, identity theft in Tickfaw
TICKFAW — The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is attempting to identify a forgery and identity theft suspect. Deputies say that on March 24, a white man wearing a baseball cap, sleeveless black tank top, black pants and light-colored shoes entered a store at the corner of Highway 1064 and Whiskey Lane and attempted to use a fraudulent check. He also reportedly attempted to use someone else's ID.

Mark Wright would raise contribution limits from $5,000 to $12,000 per donor for candidates running for statewide office and in the four biggest parishes, from $2,500 to $6,000 for candidates running for the state Legislature and in smaller parishes and from $1,000 to $2,000 for many local elections.
