Prep track & field: Preston girls capture district title at home
What has already been a memorable season just keeps getting better for Preston’s girls track & field program. The Indians reigned supreme in convincing fashion at the 4A Fifth District District Championships on their refurbished track this past week. The Preston girls racked up 81 points at the two-day meet, which concluded Friday. Century was second with 54 points, followed by Pocatello with 51.
Prep boys lacrosse: Wolves honor seniors, coach Oldham for milestone
All Senior Nights are memorable, but this was an extra special one for long-time local high school boys lacrosse coach Troy Oldham. Not only did Green Canyon honor its 20 seniors — 17 players and three managers — prior to a 8-4 victory over visiting Mountain Crest on Friday evening, Oldham was recognized for a recent noteworthy milestone.
