The Iowa Hawkeyes missed out on an opportunity to enhance its pass-catching situation. Missouri State transfer wide receiver Raylen Sharpe announced his commitment to Fresno State on Wednesday. It puts an end to Iowa’s pursuit of the twitchy, 5-foot-9 receiver. After entering the transfer portal on April 17, Sharpe visited Iowa last week and received an offer from the Hawkeyes. But, the Allen, Texas, product instead opted for Fresno State and the Bulldogs in the Mountain West. Nevada sophomore wins inaugural Seaman 1600 race
REEDLEY – A talented young Nevada runner is the first winner of the newly-named 1600 meters race that honors a Reedley High middle distance track and field legend. Brady Anderson, a sophomore at Faith Lutheran High in Las Vegas, established a meet record and new personal best time of 4 minutes, 16.22 seconds to win the inaugural Bob Seaman 1600 race for top-seeded boys at the annual Reedley Invitational. The debut of the newly-titled run highlighted the 79th edition of the meet at the recently renovated RHS track.
