12 teams compete in Dragon Boat Races at Bringle Lake
TEXARKANA, Texas (KSLA) - Organizers are preparing boats for the annual Dragon Boat Races in Texarkana. The races will feature 12 teams competing at Bringle Lake near the Texas A&M campus. The first race is set to begin at 9 a.m. Each boat is designed for a 22-member team. The races are free to the public. This is the 7th year the dragon boat races have come to Texarkana and the event is a fundraiser for the nonprofit group, Hands on Texarkana.
Spring football comes to close for Red Raiders
After four weeks of practices, the spring concluded for the Tyler Legacy Red Raiders with the spring football game on Thursday at Red Raider Field. Legacy will open the 2024 football season Aug. 29 at Texas High in Texarkana.
