    TCU track and field participates in Kasson-Mantorville Invitational

    The Tri-City United track and field team hit the road Thursday evening to compete in the Kasson-Mantorville Invitational. With several top finishes across the board, the TCU girls team earned second while the boys finished third as a team.

    Highlights for the girls began with Carly Hartwig and Kaitlyn Hartwig finishing second and fourth in the 100 meter dash, posting times of 13.11 and 13.31 respectively. K. Hartwig then finished first in the 200m dash with a time of 26.96 while C. Hartwig finished first in the 400m dash with a time of 1:00.70 followed by Yasmin Ruiz earning second with a time of 1:03.11.

    In the 800m run, Kaylee Gogerty finished fourth with a time of 2:33.77. Khloe Flicek finished first in both the 100m and 300m hurdles with times of 16.73 and 51.16 while Kristin Siebsen finished fourth in both with times of 17.85 and 55.81.

    The 4x400m relay team of Taylor Engel, Kinsley Mach, Gogerty and Ruiz finished second with a time of 4:24.04. In the shot put, Kaylee Harkins claimed fifth with a top throw of 29 feet even.

    Nyadek Ruei finished first in the high jump with a PR clear of 5' while Siebsen cleared 4'10" to finish third. In the pole vault, Sophia Smith finished fifth with a clear of 9'7".

    Alexis Marcussen finished third in the long jump with a leap of 16'3.25" while Jillian Houn finished first in the triple jump with a leap of 34' with Flicek finishing fifth with a mark of 32'7.5".

    Boys highlights began in the 100m dash with Abram Chimal finishing fifth with a time of 11.94. In the 400m dash, Connor Flintrop finished second with a time of 52.60 while Goi Ruei finished third in the 800m run with a time of 2:08.36.

    In the 1600m run, Peter Robrahn finished fifth with a time of 5:23.97. Grant Fitterer finished first in the 3200m run with a time of 11:07.51 while Caleb Robrahn finished second with a time of 12:25.15.

    In the 110m hurdles, Connor Skluzacek finished second with a time of 17.40 while Parker Hanson finished third with a time of 18.47. Skluzacek then finished fourth in the 300m hurdles with a time of 45.95.

    The sprint medley relay team of Rafael Balcazar, Connor Flintrop, Eric Borchardt and Ruei finished second with a time of 1:41.87. In the discus, Luke Skluzacek finished fifth with a top throw of 110'5".

    In the pole vault, Eli Viskocil finished fifth with a clear of 10'6" while Luke Holicky claimed fifth in the long jump with a mark of 19'8".

    TCU will return to action Thursday, May 30 for day one of the MSHSL Section 1AA Championship with the finals scheduled for Saturday, June 1. The meet will be held at Bruce Smith Field in Faribault and will begin at 1 p.m.
