North Side, Garrett win OPS 7v7 Shootout

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – North Side claimed the Big Schools Division Title for the third year in a row while Garrett claimed the Small Schools Division Title at the ninth annual Optimum Performance Sports 7v7 Shootout at Homestead High School on Thursday.

North Side nipped Yorktown 8-6 in the title game – a title game that was cut short due to inclement weather.

The Small Schools Division Title game never even got started, but because Garrett was atop the standings after pool play the Railroaders earned the championship.

Next up, Northeast Indiana High School Football Media Day on Friday, July 26 hosted by OPS. High school football practice kicks off August 5 with the first games set for Friday, August 23.
