FORT WALTON BEACH — A new app allowing Fort Walton Beach residents to report non-emergency issues and concerns to city staff is now available for download.

Here is everything you need to know.

What can I use it for?

allows residents to report problems such as potholes, abandoned vehicles, crime, vandalism, flooding, trash pickup and issues with city parks and playgrounds.

Also, residents can see reports of other problems in their area on a map provided by the service.

How does it work?

Once downloaded, SeeClickFix uses your phone's internal GPS to record the location of the problem you want to report.

To report an issue, a user must first open the app and take a picture of the problem. After selecting the issue category, the user writes a brief description and clicks "submit."

The report will be sent to the correct department. If you want to receive updates regarding your issue, you can create your own SeeClickFix account, which is free.

Where can I download it?

The SeeClickFix app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, but a desktop version is only accessible through the city's website.
