Westbound I-40 Reopened After Oklahoma City Crash
The westbound lanes of Interstate 40 have been reopened in Oklahoma City after a crash Monday morning, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. A crash near the interchange between I-40 and Interstate 35 resulted in all of the westbound lanes being closed, but ODOT said the roadway has been reopened.

Canadian County resident faces barn damage caused by large storm
CANADIAN COUNTY, Okla. — A large storm rushed through the Oklahoma City metro, and those who were left with damage were working on what comes next. One home was destroyed in Canadian County, but many other barns, roofs and windows were also damaged by the storm. Debris and wood covered the ground Monday near 15th Street and Banner Road.
Open records request for texts, emails concerning proposed jail site answered after months of waiting
The Oklahoma City council will decide on Tuesday whether or not to allow a new jail at its proposed location. The site, approved by Oklahoma County Commissioners, will sit along Grand Blvd near the Oklahoma City – Del City border.

EF-2 Tornadoes Hit OKC Metro Sunday
Large hail and intensely strong winds made their presence known in the Plains on Sunday. Winds as high as 100 mph were reported Sunday afternoon in Kansas and hail as large as 3" in diameter in the city of Ellis. In addition to this, a tornado emergency was issued for Custer City, Oklahoma. This storm went on to produce a tornado outside of the Oklahoma City Metro. Two EF-2 tornadoes were confirmed in Oklahoma City during storm surveys on Monday.
Away from home, Blaine County sheriff helps shoppers shelter from tornadoes
HYDRO, Okla. — The Blaine County sheriff had quite the night Sunday as storms rolled through the area. He was shopping at Target in Yukon, not far from a tornado that moved through the Oklahoma City area, as more tornadoes hit the county. Sheriff Travis Daughtery helped shoppers shelter in place at the store, using merchandise to stay safe.
