The honorees were recognized during an Oct. 1 reception and program, according to a community announcement. The event began at 5:30 p.m. at the State Historical Society of Missouri. The foundation honored alumni Emily Cantwell and Tom Hart, retired educators Mary Korth-Lloyd and Janet Tilley and volunteers Maureen Doyle and Jonathan Sessions. “While a lot of things have changed — and grown — since 1996, what hasn’t changed is our dedication to our schools,” David Townsend, president of the foundation’s board, said according to the announcement. “Over the past 30 years, the foundation has been proud to support our schools with innovative programs and grants of nearly $2 million.
